Palestra "Aspectos de Filosofia da Informação", com Fabius Leineweber (USP)


Um rápido apanhado de assuntos como: Platão e a semântica. Aristóteles e a ontologia. Heidegger e a tecnologia. Baudrillard e o simulacrum (The Matrix). Definições de informação. Tipos de informação. Relevância e informatividade. Lógica e complexidade. Controle e cibernética. Ciência e conhecimento. Cultura e arte digital. Semiótica de interfaces e linguagens de programação. Dilúvio de dados e paradigmas ubiquitos. Comunicação através de dispositivos e simbiose na economia da informação.


Fabius Leineweber é engenheiro quimico pela Unicamp (2002), pos-graduando em biotecnologia/bioinformatica pela Usp. Programador experiente em diversas linguagens, publicou recentemente (2008): "Computer-Mediated COmmunincation in Biology" - Journal of American Semiotics.

• “Information is the measure of freedom of choice when you select a message.” (Weaver)

• “Information in a pattern P is equal to the lenght of the shortest computer program that can generate P” (Kolmogorov, Chaitin)

• “In fact, what we mean by information - the elementary unit of information - is a difference that makes a difference”(Bateson 1973)

• In IT, information science technically defines relevant information as "...information whose subject matter matches that of a query" (Chun 2000)
